ROOT TO RISE ( Half-Day Yoga + Pilates Retreat ) w/ Anemone + Fran

Pause. Breathe. Return.

In the midst of constant movement, Root to Rise is an invitation to come back to yourself. This 4.5-hour half-day retreat is a space to ground your energy, move your body, take a deep breath, and reconnect with your strength in a gentle and supportive way.

We begin by arriving together in a circle, taking a moment to land, set an intention for the day, and slowly transition out of the outside world and into the space.

From there, we move into a grounding yoga practice with slow, steady movement, connecting breath and body, creating space, awareness, and a feeling of being rooted and present.

After rooting down, we rise. In an energising Pilates session, we focus on the core, build strength from within, and support the body in feeling stable, aligned, and strong.

We then pause for a mindful brunch, giving us time to eat, rest, connect, and integrate the practice so far without rushing anywhere.

We close the afternoon with meditation and quiet reflection, so you can leave feeling calm, clear, grounded, and reconnected with yourself.

Root down. Rise up.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A grounding yoga and an energising Pilates session

  • A mindful brunch and time to connect

  • Meditation and quiet reflection

  • A calm, supportive space to reset

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS

Anemone holds space for a practice that invites presence from the very first breath. It is intuitive and grounded, with a quiet strength that moves through the body in soft waves. Her classes are an exploration: a tuning-in, a conversation between movement and stillness, between the physical and the unseen. The practice becomes a way to recognise and honour the whole self ( body, mind and soul ) meeting what arises with openness and curiosity. Rooted in Vinyasa, Hatha and Awakening Yoga, Anemone’s teaching is a fluid integration of structure and freedom. With a professional background as a family doctor, she brings a deep understanding of the body’s anatomy and a profound respect for the uniqueness of each individual. Her classes are designed to meet you as you are, honouring the differences in every body and inviting a practice that supports long-term well-being rather than uniformity. Anemone sees movement, and especially yoga, as a form of medicine: a holistic way of healing that reaches beyond the physical into emotional, mental and spiritual realms. She believes in the power of yoga to reconnect us with our inner landscape and to support a life lived with awareness, compassion and clarity. Her approach is shaped by a range of influences, woven together through her own experience and continued inquiry. She honours all the teachers and practices that have helped her remember the power of slowing down, listening in, and moving with intention and emotion. For her, yoga is a way to live more fully, more freely, and more in tune with ourselves.

Fran is a certified Pilates instructor with a deep love for conscious movement and body awareness. Her teaching is rooted in alignment, breath, and the natural flow of movement — always with a focus on supporting each individual’s unique experience. Her classes invite a gentle yet energising sense of presence, offering space to tune in, build strength, and move with intention. With warmth and intuition, Franziska holds space for exploration, curiosity, and joy in motion.
